One thing to keep in mind when looking at values for your vehicle -
books are guides, a reference point. They are close on average cars with
average miles. The farther away your car is from average the farther off
the book will be.
Here is an example: 1. Go to retail values, Pick any 2 year old
vehicle, use the miles that come up, get your value. 2. Do it again and
put 200,000 miles on it. How much is the difference?
I used a Buick Rendezvous CX Sport Utility 4D, the book placed a
difference of $4000. There is more than $4000 for 200,000 miles. The books
are off at both ends - high and low miles. The books don't add enough for
low miles, they also don't deduct enough for high
miles. |
